Upgrading Red CPCS Trained Operator Card
to a Blue Competent Operator Card
Your Red Trained Operator Card will expire after 3 years of it being issued unless you have logged a minimum of 300 hours in your log book and achieved the relevant VQ.
The red card is non-renewable.
We can provide the necessary assessment and verification service to assist you in achieving the full VQ.
VQ candidates will be expected to achieve the award in the timescale shown in the assessment plan as agreed with the assessor.
The process is as follows:-
- VQ Induction and Assessment Planning
A 2 ½ hour session at our centre to discuss the process, complete the necessary paperwork and plan the assessment
If eligible for OSAT funding a further ½ hour session at our centre is required to complete a profiling document to match existing skills to the standard required.
- Portfolio Building and Assessment Process
This involves collection of target evidence and a site based assessment visit.
All information will be included in the candidate’s portfolio.
Failure to meet with the assessment plan may result in additional assessment visits.
When all the evidence has been collated and verified the VQ certificate and the blue card will be applied for.
To make a booking, please contact Carol on 01358 742121.
