Hazardous Goods by Road (City&Guilds)(ADR) |
| Designed for: |
Persons who carry dangerous substances on public roads in tanks, tank containers and packages (drums, cylinders etc). |
| Objectives: |
On completion delegates will be aware of their responsibilities under current Dangerous Substances Regulations, Chemical Hazards, Safe Working Procedures and how to deal with emergencies. Exams are set by the City & Guilds. If successful, delegates will gain an ADR Certificate.

| Course Content: |
The precise content of the course and appropriate City & Guilds examinations will be determined by the content of duties undertaken by the delegate.
Module 1 - Any Class of Dangerous Goods in Tanks or Packages (The Core)
Module 2 - Any Class of Dangerous Goods in Road Tankers and Tank Containers
Module 3 - Any Class of Dangerous Goods in Packages
Module 4 - Class 1 Substances - Explosives
Module 5 - Class 2 Substances - Compressed Gases
Module 6 - Class 3 Substances - Flammable Liquids
Module 7 - Class 4 Substances - Flammable Solids
Module 8 - Class 5 Substances - Oxidising Agents and Organic Peroxides
Module 9 - Class 6 Substances - Toxic, Harmful & Infectious
Module 10 - Class 7 Substances - Radioactives
Module 11 - Class 8 Substances - Corrosives
Module 12 - Class 9 Substances - Miscellaneous Dangerous Substances and Articles.
All delegates must take Module 1 which is mandatory and either
Module 2 or 3 with at least 1 class module to ensure an ADR Certificate.
