In conjunction with Friendberry Ltd (Approved training provider number AC00228) and First4Aid Ltd we can now offer a 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course. The duration of the course is 7.5 hours. 7 of these hours will count towards your driver CPC.

Brief

This is a Health & safety Executive approved 1-day course that complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It provides personnel with the minimum level of first aid training for the workplace

Content

On completion of training, successful candidates should be able to:

Understand the role of the first-aider including reference to:

* the importance of preventing cross infection

* the need for recording incidents and actions use of available equipment

* Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

* Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)

* Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation

* Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking

* Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding

* Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock

* Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)

Completion

On completion of this course, the delegate will receive a Driver CPC attendance certificate and the HSE approved, nationally recognised 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. This is valid for 3 years, however the HSE recommends that first aiders undertake annual first aid update training. All delegates also receive a course pack including a first aid manual
